Project Summary

Isabel Avenue and I-580 Interchange Project from Airway Blvd. to Portola Ave. in the City of Livermore.

Contract number 04-171334. The estimated construction cost was $24 million and the project owner was Caltrans.

This was a Risk Level 2 project and SKE was the Water Pollution Control Manager.

The scope of work in the field includes the followings:

  • Performed storm event and weekly stormwater site observations and prepared reports: CEM 2030 including pre-storm, during storm and post storm,
  • Prepared Corrective Action Summary reports, CEM 2035,
  • Prepared Best Management Practice Status reports, CEM 2034,
  • Prepared Rain Event Action Plan (REAP), CEM 2045,
  • Prepared Numeric Action Level (NAL) Exceedance reports,
  • Prepared Notice of Discharge, CEM 2061,
  • Performed quarterly non-storm water discharge observations and prepared reports,
  • Prepared SWPPP amendments,
  • Prepared Stormwater Annual Report.

The Isabel Avenue/I-580 Interchange Project constructed a new access to Interstate 580 in the City of Livermore, California. The project is located on the State Highway in Alameda County. The work included widening highway 580, constructing an SR 84 and SR 580 Separation Bridge and Portola Overcrossing Structure. Construction activities included grading, utility relocation, paving, landscaping, piling, demolition of the existing bridge and abutments, and bent/column excavation.
